HVACR SALES ENGINEER/ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Climate Control Systems, Inc., (CCSI), a leading Manufacturer’s Representative of HVACR Equipment and Building Automation System Controls since 1985, is currently seeking an experienced HVACR Sales Engineer/Account Executive based out of our Birmingham, AL office. This person is responsible for the sale of commercial and industrial HVACR equipment and building controls systems and services to owners, engineers, architects, contractors and consultants. In partnership with CCSI, you will build and manage long term customer relationships with your customers, accounts and the manufacturers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Demonstrate technical expertise to develop credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment with customers and employees
  • Determine project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet all of the customer’s HVAC system design and installation requirements
  • Effectively write, present and communicates bids
  • Negotiate value and close the sale
  • Work on system design and solutions with customers
  • Create competitive, high quality and timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost/benefit analysis where applicable
  • Manage multiple, ongoing, projects focusing on selling HVAC equipment, service and building control systems
  • Support and assist in the accounts receivable collection process where applicable
  • Communicate and work effectively with the sales team, inside sales supports staff and administrative personnel
  • Assist in the development of the sales team where applicable
  • Keep management informed of progress and account status on a weekly basis
  • Request support from sales team and management where applicable, keep the sales process moving
  • Sell solutions and build relationships

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Building Construction or related field preferred but Business degree with applicable HVACR sales experience acceptable
  • Three or more years of HVACR Equipment Sales or related experience is a plus, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning or Construction industry experience is a must
  • Excellent initiative, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

EXPERIENCE:

  • Note: If you are a recent engineering, building construction, or related field graduate, CCSI may consider you for an Inside Sales Assistant position to assist our Outside Sales Engineers/Account Executives. This position requires ongoing training on our products and services, assisting with estimates, proposals and presentations, and provides an opportunity to promote to an Outside Sales position if a position becomes available

HVAC CONTROLS TECHNICIAN

Climate Control Systems, Inc. (CCSI), a Birmingham, AL based Manufacturer’s Representative of HVAC Equipment and Building Automation System Controls since 1985, is currently seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Technician for projects based in Alabama. We install building management systems (BMS) which typically involves controlling the HVAC equipment in buildings. Under minimal supervision, you will be responsible for providing installation, commissioning, and general servicing of digital controls as well as provide ongoing communications with customers. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform start up, checking, testing, system diagnostics and commissioning for controllers and field devices
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair and/or replace control components and controls systems
  • Load and update software on network controllers, field controllers, computers and servers
  • Program software and graphics utilizing various programming languages and software
  • Perform preventative maintenance service to ensure optimal performance of system
  • Emergency service and response to customer sites as needed
  • Demonstrate willingness to invest time in remote site or factory training as applicable and obtain needed certifications
  • Provide job documentation (i.e., commissioning documentation, punch lists, etc.)
  • Provide input and assist with creation of as-built drawings for engineering
  • Interface with service manager, sales, and subcontractors on projects to coordinate activities and report any issues
  • Accurately document and complete documentation including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation
  • Coordinate with or advise supervision about the requirements for material and supplies
  • Follow company and industry safety standards
  • Perform  assigned work efficiently and professionally
  • Communicate with customer on service provided, potential problem areas and recommendations
  • Train customer as needed
  • Provide evaluation feedback to management
  • Adhere to daily work schedule as directed by supervisor and/or coordinator
  • Ability to use a variety of tools required to perform job functions
  • Maintain company vehicle, computer and tools

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Vocational School  program graduate or an Associate’s degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field
  • Two years of experience in servicing electronic and or mechanical systems is preferred
  • Requires extensive knowledge of digital controls systems
  • Requires experience in servicing electronic controls for HVAC equipment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills and knowledge of software and programs related to the HVAC industry
  • Ability to multitask
  • Prompt, dependable, flexible and self-starting
  • Must be physically able to climb, work in high places and/or confined spaces
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and do minor lifting
  • Experience reading mechanical and electrical drawings and wiring diagrams is a plus
  • Some travel is required, primarily Alabama
  • Rotating on call for after hour emergencies
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record
  • Maintain a professional image

HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Climate Control Systems, Inc. (CCSI), a Birmingham, AL based Manufacturer’s Representative of HVAC Equipment and Building Automation System Controls since 1985, is currently seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician for service work performed primarily in Alabama. Successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance, repair and replacement for HVAC equipment and HVAC Controls in commercial and industrial facilities. If you are dependable, hardworking, knowledgeable, a team player, and safety conscious, and want an opportunity to grow with a local firm, we would like to speak with you! At this time, we are looking for a qualified candidate with 3 or more years of HVAC experience. Recent trade school graduates may apply for apprentice position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service, troubleshoot, problem solve and repair commercial HVAC equipment and HVAC control systems
  • Explain service and repairs performed to customer
  • Requisition supplies to perform repairs
  • Accurately document and complete documentation including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation
  • Ability to climb, lift heavy objects, crawl, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch for periods of time
  • Demonstrate willingness to invest time in training classes
  • Adhere to daily work schedule as directed by supervisor and/or coordinator

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HVAC Vocational School  program graduate or an Associate’s degree in air conditioning or similar field
  • EPA certification preferred
  • State HVAC license a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working on commercial HVAC systems
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
  • Clean, insurable driving record
  • Maintain a professional image
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
